FIVEK STUDIO / PRELAUNCH DESIGN PREVIEW · NOT AN INDEXED SALES SITE
SCIENCE FIRST. CLAIMS UNDER CONTROL.

Make the science understandable without making it smaller.

For funded science teams that need different visitors to understand the same verified evidence.

The science should speak. The decorative spinning DNA can have a rest.

Our existing engineering examples demonstrate how we build and test websites. We don't present an unrelated project as a client case study in this sector.

03 / THE REAL THINKING (YES, REALLY)

Thought through
before it's built.

Unlike a generic template, this argument is written around the buyer and the evidence they'd actually need.

Lead with the science, then offer different routes through it.

A biotech visitor might be a scientific collaborator, a potential commercial partner, a candidate or an investor. Their first questions are different: what is the platform, where is the evidence, what stage is the work at and who can they speak with? A biotech website cannot answer those questions with one animated molecule and a vague promise to change healthcare.

We organise a biotech marketing site around verified mechanisms, programmes, research context and clear stakeholder entry points. A technically credible overview can use plain English without diluting accuracy: name the problem, explain what the team is investigating, distinguish hypotheses from demonstrated outcomes and link to original publications where permitted. Investor and recruitment content can share the same foundation but should not impersonate a formal investor portal or a clinical information service.

A scientist, a strategic partner and an investor read different evidence

The scientific visitor may look for publications, reproducibility, methods and what the technology can actually demonstrate. A potential licensing partner may want to know which programme is available for collaboration and where responsibility sits. An investor will be interested in stage, team, intellectual-property position and the nature of the commercial opportunity. One generic homepage cannot carry all of those questions.

A proposed stakeholder switcher can let visitors choose Research, Partnerships or Corporate. Rather than rewriting the underlying science for each audience, it changes the order in which approved evidence appears. That prevents an attractive marketing summary from drifting into a claim the scientific team did not substantiate.

Show the stage of the work, not the future you hope for

Pipeline diagrams and platform graphics can be useful but hazardous if they make an early research programme look clinically validated. A proper evidence card could contain what the programme explores, current development status, supporting references and what remains uncertain. Each fact needs a named owner and review date.

An illustrative headline might be “Explore the platform and the research behind it.” It is deliberately restrained: a biotechnology website should make complex work legible without claiming breakthrough status, regulatory approval, or patient benefit that the underlying evidence cannot support.

Design for careful reading

Technical buyers should find source documents without losing the narrative; non-specialists should get a concise orientation before specialist language appears. We would validate page copy against a real approved investor deck and a scientist’s review, and track qualified partner contact—not imagined trial recruitment or investment outcomes.

Evidence levels behind the platform narrative

Approved descriptions of platform and pipeline stage; publication references and accurate authorship; actual management and scientific biographies; permissioned collaborators and partners; approved IP and regulatory statements. We do not imply clinical validation or regulatory approval without evidence.

Demo concept: The science-path navigator

choose researcher, licensing partner or investor to see a different evidence hierarchy and next step. Illustrative in the studio; it cannot create or validate scientific claims.

Who this is for: Funded biotech, diagnostics and life-sciences businesses with a defined scientific platform and an internal reviewer for copy.

What the £5,000 scope does not cover: The £5,000 marketing site does not include clinical trial portals, secure investor data rooms, regulated patient tools or bespoke interactive scientific simulations.

Questions on scientific disclosure

Can the website explain a complex platform simply?

Yes, with approved material. We separate a short accessible summary from deeper technical detail and retain references so specialists can assess the work themselves.

Can you write up unpublished research?

Only with permission and scientifically responsible review. Publication, confidentiality and IP decisions remain with the client and their advisers.

Send us your current deck or platform overview.

Send the current website, the materials you already have and a brief description of the decision you want visitors to make. For qualifying standard marketing sites, the proposed package starts at £5,000 and can be scoped by email with no mandatory meeting. Email FiveK Studio.

04 / AN EMAIL, NOT A MEETING

Send the link.
Bin the pitch deck.

A £5,000 standard website is an agreed marketing scope, not unlimited software development. The 72-hour build window is a proposed target once access, materials and approvals are complete. Everything can begin by email.
